Children's Library Programs

We offer programs for many age groups at the library.

Little Signs, a sign language program for children 2 and under (older preschool children also welcome) with an adult of their choice will be starting Thursday October 1. This past year we have realized the effectiveness of teaching all pre-schoolers in the family to sign so that they too can communicate with their new little siblings. The cost for this program is $10 for the 12 week session. Manning Ladies Auxiliary generously sponsors this program. Therefore, we are able to keep these fees to a minimum. Sign up at the circulation desk.

Book Worm Buddies is a reading program for children ages 3-4, we meet once a week to share a story, songs, crafts and a snack. This program will be starting again Tuesday September 29, and Wednesday September 30, 2009. This program is also sponsored, thanks to F.C.S.S. for helping to keep the cost of this program at $10/child for this 12 week session. Sign up at the circulation, unfortunately because of space in the library basement this program must have a limit of 10 children per day.
